  1. What is the purpose of a Memorial?

A Memorial is not just any ordinary web site. It is the most meaningful way to pay tribute to a loved one. Saving memories on the Internet is like keeping a photo album or a guest book that will never fade away. Most importantly, memories can be shared with friends and family who feel the same loss. With a Remembrances Memorial, there exist no barriers of time or space.

  2. How important is it to view a Memorial of a loved one?

Viewing is part of many cultural and ethnic traditions. Many specialists believe that viewing aids in the grieving process by helping the bereaved recognize the reality of death. Viewing is encouraged for children as long as the process is explained and the activity voluntary.

  3. What is Grieving?

Grieving is nature's way of assisting us to cope with the loss of a loved one. Our lives are disrupted and we feel anxious about the lack of control of a loved one's passing. Often our sorrow seems over-whelming, and that we will never recover from it. Yet, the experience of countless generations testify to the reality that eventually we work through our feelings and arrive at a state of acceptance. The healing power lies within ourselves, within the very wound itself. To grieve is a very human, healthy and necessary response to loss.

  4. Why would I want a Memorial on the Internet?  I have already submitted a death notice to the local newspaper.

Local newspapers are the best way to quickly inform the local community. Most of us have families and friends scattered across the country. It is easy to miss a notice in a daily newspaper.

  5. Why purchase a Memorial?

To remember a loved one in a customary way to recognize death and its finality. Memorials are recognized as rituals for the living to show respect for the dead and to help survivors begin the grieving process.

  6. What can I include?

The contents of a Memorial Web Site are the same as the contents of a traditional newspaper obituary: name of the loved one; birth date; date of passing; religious, service and fraternal affiliations; career highlights; educational or community accomplishments; special interests.

  7. Do I get a Domain Name with a Remembrances Memorial?
