 | Pat was a most devoted naturalist. Her dedication to her environment was only surpassed by her love of all living things she came in contact with. Birds were here primary interest as she went about the countryside with pack on her back and binoculars slung around her neck. Winter... Spring... Summer... and Fall... she was out and about, one with nature, walking trails in the mountains and following paths through the marshes. I never understood her fascination for nature to the extent she was absorbed by it, but her enthusiasm was infectious and made for a more finely tuned awareness of my environment in myself. I'm sure all who knew her felt that same keen interest in seeing our environment is protected. That is her legacy to this planet. |
