Remembrances
Condolences
Garby was my best friend. He led an adventurous life trekking through the Alps, traversing the Himilayas, climbing Everest. living in the outback of Australia. The picture shown here was taken just outside of Perth in the 60's. There is so much to tell that his life would fill volumes just scratching the surface without touching the man inside.

When home, in England, Garby was a teacher of fine musical studies at the local university. He never slowed in his activities. He taught tennis as a recreational activity to students in the Langara area. His advice regarding his love, music, and his past-time sport, tennis was widely sought. Garby to a great extent was my hero, mentor, and a most important person in my life.

His career was a testament to his true character. He became Chancellor at the University, Dean of musical studies, acknowledged by his colleagues, peers, students and friends alike as accomplished in his field. Garby lived as he taught - one note at time.

In loving memory, friends of Jones family
