Remembrances
Condolences
Keitha was my great aunt. A throwback to the 50's. She was customarily seen walking her dog in her fur coat on winter days, and her tweed coat and sunglasses in the summer. She always carried a handbag, usually navy in color.

I don't know why these details seem so important to me, but I guess they do. Keitha raised me from the time I was a little baby . Both my parents were killed in a car accident. Keitha stepped in just in time before the child welfare department was going to place me into a foster home. Life would have been so different.

As a little boy, Keitha took me swimming, bowling every Saturday, and to church on Sunday. She wasn't religious, only concerned that I have a proper upbringing. I remember the day she passed away. We were sitting in her apartment. Keitha had fallen asleep. She looked so peaceful. My wife and I were talking softly so as not to disturb her. Death came quitely somewhat like the touch of a newborn angel.

In loving memory, Chandler family
