My Uncle.

He was that man who stood as tall as my father in my childhood. There was that afinity to the man that only exists in my mind but that is the only place important to me. I was drawn to Uncle Joe in some special way I can't explain.

Here I am a boy, Uncle Joe's hand resting on my head, my cousins, Michael and Jimmy and myself relishing in what every boy at that age can relate to, fishing with Dad and Uncle Joe and Michael and Jimmy, a whopping big catch of perch and pickerel strung up proud.

My warm wishes reach out to Aunt Helen. Uncle Joe was a man of many facets but primarily a family man. He was an accomplished violinist as a young man.

In his retirement he took that talent to the n'th degree by never relinquishing his goal to create a violin of craftsmanship that would rival the "Stradivarius".

Creating this Memorial for Uncle Joe has been a very important way for me personally
to deal with his death, reliving fond memories in it's creation.

In loving memory, Barati family
