Joe followed politics and aspired to run for mayoral candidate of New York City. On the verge of his campaign, Joe suddenly fell ill with cancer. It struck fast. He never really knew what hit him. In his last days, Cecile & Joe shared memories of campfires by the lake, hikes, star-gazing and more.

He was in close contact with his family, travelling back to his hometown of Syracuse 2 - 3 times a year. His nephews and nieces miss him, as do his brothers, sisters, mom and dad, and the many people who knew him.

There will never be another person like Joe.
